Meet the Artist
Courtney Wunder
Hi there, thanks for checking out my work! Iām the face behind the Spooktacular Creations of Wunderkins Pumpkins.
Halloween has been a favorite holiday of mine ever since childhood when I would dress up as a clown and other kids would run away screaming. That should have been the first sign to others that I was a little quirkier than most.
I have been carving pumpkins since I was a small child. My goal from a young age was to create the coolest pumpkin patterns once I realized I didn't win a carving contest at 10 years old.
My style has changed over the years from more Traditional to Realistic. I enjoy experimenting with paints, lighting, and drill bits to get different variety in my artwork. I dabble in other art mediums, so there might be more crafts from me in the future unrelated to pumpkins. Keep an eye out!
Art lets me express myself through many aspects of my life, including my Visual Snow Syndrome. It's a rare neurological processing disorder that effects the way I see, making life look like blurry old TV static. There is no cure at the moment, but I'm hoping more awareness can be spread and a cure can eventually be found. Learn more here.
